Transformational leaders act as a role model which support and focus on the followers’ growth (Smith, B.N et. al, 2004). The collection of data in my organization would be that of surveys satisfactory surveys or dissatisfactory. My organization provides a satisfactory survey mid-year where they ask about the organization and culture as a whole. The survey gives a scale of satisfactory of how the culture of the organization is going. The survey also provide questions on how individual departments are doing as far as integration and cultural aspects of the department. At the end of the survey they ask whether you are satisfied or feel like you are growing in the position that you are currently in. The survey also has a chance for individual employees to write whatever they feel in the comment section. Although the survey is a good form of data collection and a good way to analyze the dynamics of the culture it is not anonymous. Although it states that it is anonymous but everyone must put in their employee number and the department that they work in. Upper management gather the information of the survey and have a town hall meeting about the results of the survey. I don’t see any change or any type of effort of making a change or addressing certain issues that occur within certain departments. The way that my organization is set up is that you have upper management and then mid-level management. There’s a lot of managers to employees and some managers who don’t have direct reports.
