This is for a discussion,
In order to understand arguments, it is important to understand what makes up an argument. One of the components of an argument is a claim, which suggests something is true. An argument will consist of two parts, a premise, and conclusion. A premise is an assumption that something is true while the conclusion is the point the argument is trying to make.
- Use the Internet to search for an example of an argument in the media (e.g., Internet, television, radio, newspapers, etc.). Next, explain the example you selected providing some background information about the example. Finally, what is the main argument of the example, and discuss whether or not you agree with the conclusion of the argument.
