Based on the material in this unit, you will write and present a speech on your understanding of memory and communication as it relates to brain structure. Review Chapters 13 and 14 of the textbook. Citing knowledge from the textbook and at least one outside source, answer the questions below. 1. What are the structures and processes involved, and how do they interact to produce memory? 2. Is this a cortical, sensory, or subcortical process, and what can we say about environmental influence in the development of memory or the learning process? 3. How is communication mediated on a neurological level? You will need to identify your thoughts and cite specific passages from the textbook to support your point of view. You should incorporate sources outside the textbook as well. Your speech should be at least 5 minutes in length.
